In one CSI (Las Vegas) episode, Sara Sidle suppresses her urge to vomit by smiling. While we can’t vouch for the credibility of this natural remedy, we have found that smiles work on something else.   If you’re fighting tears, such as while watching a movie, try smiling. Broad smiles seem to help suppress tears.
